「歴史学は社会にとってどのような存在なんだろう？」ということを考えています。研究テーマは”戦後日本思想としての史学史（歴史学の歴史、歴史家の歴史）”で、より具体的には1970年代・80年代の「社会史」運動について研究しています。最近は、歴史の視覚化（ビジュアリゼーション）というテーマにも関心をもつようになり、1950年代の紙芝居史について調べはじめています。

UCHIDA Chikara is a PhD student at the University of Tokyo, Japan. He is working on a dissertation on the history of historiography in postwar Japan, especially focusing on the social historians in the 1980s including Yoshihiko Amino (1928–2004) and Kin'ya Abe (1935–2006). He has a keen interest in the social roles of historians within various countries as well as the visualization of history such as movie and picture-card show (kamishibai).
