北京第二外国語大学ドイツ語学科卒業、ドイツ・アウグスブルク大学哲学・歴史研究科修士課程修了。専門は二十世紀の社会思想史。越境するテキストが受容され、再文脈化されるプロセスに関心をもつ。博士論文は、西欧中心主義を端的に表す「オリエンタル・デスポティズム」論が東アジアの言論空間において再構築された過程を取り上げている。

ZHOU Yufei is a PhD candidate in the Graduate School of Human Sciences at Osaka University. She completed her BA in German Studies and obtained Magister Artium in German philology and European art history from University of Augsburg. She now majors in history of social thoughts and her research interest lies on the process of reception and recontextualization of texts traveling across borders. Her dissertation focuses on the adaption and construction of the discourses on “oriental despotism” in Japan and China’s public sphere during prewar and wartime.
