東京大学人文社会系研究科アジア文化研究専攻博士課程に所属しています。世界史における鉱業の重要性に関心を持っており、特に、16世紀に行われた鉱山開発および鉱産資源の流通について、オスマン帝国下の鉱山を事例に研究しています。現在はトルコ共和国イスタンブル所在の、イスタンブル文明大学に客員研究員として在籍しつつ、首相府オスマン文書館の資料を中心に収集・読解に努め、博士論文の準備を行っています。
Natsuko SAJI belongs to the department of Asian Studiesof Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology of the University of Tokyo. She is interested in the importance of the mining industry in the world history. Particularly, she studies the exploitation and circulation of mineral resources under Ottoman Empire in the 16th century. Now She studies in Istanbul, Turkey, as a visiting researcher of Istanbul Medeniyet University and she collects and reads documents of Archives of the Prime Minister’s Office (Başbakanlık Osmanlı Arşivi) for preparing my doctoral disseration.
