18世紀イギリスの大西洋通商と海軍ロジスティクスの関係について、当時の行政文書を主に用いながら研究を行っている。また、18世紀における北米植民地の植民地への移民、植民についても強い関心を持っている。2018年早稲田大学より博士号取得。

HIONO Yuichi, Ph.D. and research associate at Waseda University, focuses on the eighteenth century Atlantic world. His research interests include the interaction between the Atlantic history and the British imperial history. In his doctoral thesis, he centres on the relationship between the naval logistics and British Atlantic trade from the Glorious Revolution to the Seven Years War, which is based on administrative documents. He also has the strong interest in migration from Europe to North America for British colonial policies.
