イランを中心にして、ペルシア語文書史料などを用いながら、ムスリム家族の相続や婚姻をイスラーム法との関係も考えながら研究しています。また、20世紀以前のイランの行政・財務制度や、聖者廟(シェイフ・サフィー廟)の実務的運営と在地社会の関係などにも興味を持っています。東京大学人文社会系研究科アジア文化研究専攻で博士号取得(2012年)
Naofumi ABE, Ph.D., is a research fellow at Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, the University of Tokyo. He studied at the Department of Asian History, Graduate School of Humanities and Sociology, the University of Tokyo (Ph.D. 2012). Naofumi ABE’s research centers on the family history and historical inheritance system in Iran based mainly on Persian archival sources. Recently, he is working on the relationship between local society and a shrine of Sufi order (the shrine of Sheykh Safi in Ardabil). He is also interested in the chancellery and fiscal bureaucracy of Iran up to the early twentieth century. Besides contributing some articles on Iranian history in Japanese, English, and Persian, he is a joint translator of the 14th century Persian account manual named Risala’-i Falakiya dar ‘ilm al-siyaqat into Japanese.
