中国山東省出身。2010年山東大学外国語学院日本語科卒業。2013年同大学院日本文化専攻修士課程終了。2013年名古屋大学文学研究科日本史学専門入学。研究関心は前近代東アジアの国際関係と異文化交流。博士課程では、江戸時代の日本・朝鮮・清朝中国の関わりについての研究に携わり、特に通信使と燕行使をともに体験した人に注目し、彼らを介した東アジア国際交流の様相を具体的に明らかにしようと努めている。
CHENG Yongchao is a Ph.D. student in Department of Japanese History at Nagoya University. She acquired her B.A. in Japanese in 2010 and obtained M.A. in Japanese Culture in 2013 at School of Foreign Languages, Shandong University, China. Her research interests include international relations in early-modern East Asia. Her current research topic is about Joseon Embassies to Tokugawa Japan and Ming-Qing China, especially on those Joseon officials who have been both to Tokugawa Japan and to Ming-Qing China. Now, she focuses on those officials, trying to determine their impact on Joseon-Japanese and Joseon-Chinese relations and information gathering they performed about China and Japan.
