MIZUI Mariko is Professor of History. She obtained her PhD degree at the University of Exeter in 1999. Her original research interest is exploring the history of English tin industry as well as history of Cornwall, the tin mining area. While exploring the commodity chain of English tin by using primary sources of the Levant Company and the East India Company, both in London, she tries to reconstruct the society in the Asian towns planted by EIC through its records.
