東京大学法学部卒業、同大学院法学政治学研究科総合法政専攻博士課程在籍。専門は政治学史。18世紀後半のブリテン政治思想史を主たる 研究対象とし、責任、代表、専制といった政治思想がブリテンという枠でどのように形成、展開されたかについて研究している。関連して 、建国期アメリカの政治思想や、ジェイムズ・バー、リチャード・プライスといったブリテン急進主義の思想家にも関心を持つ。

KAMIMURA Tsuyoshi completed a B.A.in law at the faculty of law, the University of Tokyo and now is a doctoral student at the Graduate schools for Law and Politics, the University of Tokyo. His research focuses on British history of political thought in the late eighteenth century and how some political concepts such as responsibility, representation, and despotism were formed. In this context, he also has an interest on political thought in the American revolutionary period and British radical thinkers such as James Burgh, Richard Price and so on.
