羽田教授が南京大学で講演 / Professor Haneda delivered lectures at Nanjing University
羽田教授が、５月25日（木）、26日（金）に、南京大学（中国）で新しい世界史について講演を行いました。
この連続講演は、南京大学建学115周年記念著名社会科学者招聘事業の一環として実施されたものです。
25日は、学部学生を中心とした150人以上の聴衆を前に、"Towards a New World History"と題する講演が行なわれました。１時間の講演後、１時間以上の質疑の時間があり、その終了後も多くの学生が教授を囲んで活発な質疑と意見交換が行われました。
26日は、歴史学院、外国語学院の教員５名と大学院学生10名余りが出席したセミナーで、"Japanese Historiography on World/Global History"と題する講演の後で、やはり活発な討論が行われました。
南京大学は、中国の主要研究大学の一つで、羽田教授は上記講演の場以外でも、多くの関連研究者と会い、情報と意見交換を行いました。

On May 25 and 26, 2017, Professor Haneda delivered two lectures on new
world history at Nanjing University (China).
This lecture series was organized as one part of the project to invite noted social science scholars to mark the 115th anniversary of the founding of Nanjing University.
On May 25, a lecture titled "Towards a New World History" was given to an audience consisting of 150 or more students, mainly undergraduates. A question and answer session of more than an hour followed the one-hour lecture, and a large number of students gathered around Professor Haneda to engage in lively questions and answers and exchanges of views even after the conclusion of the session.
On May 26, a lively discussion also took place after the lecture titled "Japanese Historiography on World/Global History" was given at a seminar attended by five professors from the School of History and School of Foreign Studies and more than ten graduate students.
Nanjing University is one of China's foremost research institutions. Besides giving the lectures mentioned above, Professor Haneda met with a great many researchers in related fields and carried out exchanges of information and views.
